A regional airport system study is being prepared for the ten county Southern California region by the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). The study will compare the effectiveness of alternative airport systems and their social and economic impacts on the communities within the region and on the orderly growth of Southern California. It will include elements on coordination of land use planning near airports, airport noise and surface transportation adjacent to airports. (Author)
