Twelve lock capacity models were considered for use in the GL/SLS Regional Transportation Study. Primary criteria were expensive to run, program coverage of entire GL/SLS system and use of fortran language. The recommendation was to use the lock capacity study developed by the Corps of Engineers, developed in 1979 for the Navigation Season Extension Study. (Author)
