The research project examined certain effects of converting the Interstate 30 (I-30) frontage roads in the central Arkansas area from two-way operation to one-way operation in 2002. The following characteristics before and afterthe conversion were studied: the number of crashes; traffic volumes; speeds; travel times between nodes; land use; sales taxes for certain businesses; and the opinions of business owners and operators in the corridor.
