The paper describes a prediction method for store carriage loads and for the effects of stores and pylons on aircraft longitudinal stability. The method, which is restricted to subsonic speeds, has been developed from a widely-used store trajectory calculation code for underwing pylon-mounted stores. The prediction accuracy is demonstrated by comparison with experimental measurements. The examples shown cover a range of store types, various degrees of installation complexity, and the effects of Mach number, incidence angle, and parent aircraft planform shape.
