The report contains a discussion of the transit system in Milwaukee today, with attention to land use characteristics and travel patterns within the metropolitan area. Various modes of mass transportation are considered, but the principal attention is focused upon a bus rapid transit system. Recommendations concerning the location and design of an exclusive bus transitway, station facility design, equipment needs, system administration, system financing, and system construction are made.
