Meteorologists and rocket research engineers joined together in late 1959 under the coordination of the Inter-Range Instrumentation Group and were responsible for the first Meteorological Rocket Network in the United States. Since that date this Group has been conducting a series of coordinated meteorological rocket firings in the Northern Hemisphere. The present volume, describing the activities of this Group and the Meteorological Rocket Network, supersedes a previous volume issued in August 1961. (Author)
