It is very important to consider the influence of shoreline development on the navigation and operation of surrounding fishing vessels during port planning. Taking planning of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port as an example, this paper proposes a method for evaluating the impact of port shoreline planning on fishing vessels based on automatic identification system (AIS) cluster analysis through existing AIS and fishing port distribution data. The research results can provide decision support for port shoreline selection and other coastal development activities.
