This paper investigates the safety problem of spacecraft formation during configuration reconstruction process by leveraging a distributed model predictive control (DMPC) algorithm. First, a linear model is developed based on C-W equations, centered around a virtual leader spacecraft. Then, considering potential collisions and limited ability of actuator, collision avoidance and input saturation constraints are integrated to control problem, where minimal energy consumption is required through receding horizon optimization. To execute the optimization calculation simultaneously, assumed information is exchanged among spacecraft, while its deviation from the true value is restricted by a compatibility constraint. Finally, a numerical simulation is employed to assess the efficacy of the DMPC algorithm.
