Abstract This work is focused on the energy consumption optimization in different driving conditions. The vehicle is localized on the track by GPS coordinates so it is possible to influence dynamic parameters of its movement according to the following route profile. Each point of this path is characterized by a set of properties. Especially the maximum allowed speed, recommended speed, inclination and curve radius. The goal of this proposal is to model the setting of the gas pedal, brake pedal and the gear shift (steering is in the hands of the driver) in order to minimise energy consumption and to fulfil all safety recommendations.
