This paper describes the development of in-pipe inspection robot system for large-diameter water pipe with magnetic flux leakage (MFL) sensor module. The target pipe diameter range of the in-pipe inspection robot system is 900–1200 mm. The composition of the in-pipe inspection robot is the front and rear driving part and the centrally located inspection part. The in-pipe inspection robot described in this paper was developed in a form equipped with a wireless communication module and battery. The developed in-pipe inspection robot was tested on a test-bed with a diameter of 900–1200 mm and a length of 16.5 m. As a result of the driving test, it was confirmed that the in-pipe inspection robot could drive along the center of the pipe despite the slope of 22.5 and various types of diameter changes. It is considered that it is possible to reduce economic costs and secure the safety of inspectors when inspecting old pipes through the developed in-pipe inspection robot.
