A linear generator system for auxiliary power of superconducting Maglev vehicles is being developed. This paper describes a superconducting magnet for the linear generator system. In this development, a prototype superconducting magnet was manufactured and tested to grasp the performance. This paper reports the results of this test, especially the performance of the heat load increment generated in the superconducting magnet.
