This paper deals with the simulation of contactless power transfer used to charge battery electric vehicles. Contactless power transfer is one new way of charging batteries in many devices such as electric toothbrushes, remote controllers, mobile phones. The simulation of contactless power transmission is made in the multi-physic software ANSYS Maxwell. It shows the dependence of transferred power and transmission efficiency on distance of coils and loaded power frequency. This paper also discusses about serious hazards of using contactless power transfer to interact with other electric devices in its surrounding. Electromagnetic compatibility of CPT and its improving is the main part of this paper.
