This paper describes the results of a NAVSEA funded study in 1983/1984 on the feasibility of intercooling and regenerating a Marine Spey Propulsion Engine. Conclusions are that over 20000 BHP and over 30 % annual propulsion fuel savings can be achieved in a compact marine system package.
