In this paper, a series of mean profiles in compressible turbulent channel flows with symmetric isothermal walls are generated using the recently proposed iterative method (Song et al., Phys. Rev. Fluids, Vol. 8, 2023, Paper 034604). Based on this generated database, an empirical scaling for the inner-scaled bulk velocity is proposed, where the compressible contribution is characterized by an empirical dependence on the Reynolds and Mach numbers, while the remaining incompressible contribution term follows a logarithmic dependence on the Reynolds number. Additionally, we propose an empirical scaling for the ratio of wall density to bulk density using available DNS data, which ultimately leads to a skin-friction scaling.
