Problems of developing of small spacecraft (SSC) using electrodynamic tether systems (EDT systems) are discussed in the paper. Comparative analysis of efficiency of small spacecraft using EDT systems is shown. The paper is dedicated to creation of design of a small spacecraft with EDT system and analysis of circuit design of EDT systems as part of small spacecraft. The article also reveals the questions of mathematical modeling of orbital tether system functioning dynamic processes. The research of EDT systems application possibilities allows to obtain recommendations for choosing of circuit design and characteristics of SSC with EDT systems.
