A demand responsive connector (DRC) is a flexible transit service that has no fixed transit stations, fixed routes, or fixed timetables. It is necessary to consider passenger individual satisfaction in the process of DRC route choice. This paper first proposes a multi-objective route optimization model with the maximum of passenger individual satisfaction and the maximum of operator profit rate, then designs an improved genetic algorithm to solve the model, and finally simulates the model on Matlab based on a small traffic network. The results show that the optimal solution manages to achieve the highest weighted sum of passenger individual satisfaction and profit rate of operators, although the travel time is not the shortest. This model can assist transport services providers with improving passenger satisfaction rate as well as saving operating cost to a maximum extent.
