This paper uses traffic conflict technology and conflict indicators to explore non-motorized vehicle-pedestrian conflict at bus stops. Three bus stations, along with the motorized and non-motorized vehicle isolation strip in Xi’an, are taken as examples. Traffic Analyzer George 2.1 was used to extract relevant data such as velocity, acceleration, and trajectory of both parties in the traffic conflict. This paper analyzed the trajectory characteristics of non-motorized vehicle lateral offset under the influence of pedestrians, and the severity of conflict under different avoidance forms. The conflict distance and Time to Collision (TTC) were selected as evaluation indicators, and the k-means cluster analysis method and cumulative frequency analysis method were used to respectively determine appropriate thresholds for judging the severity of non-motorized vehicle-pedestrian conflict at bus stops. Results show that: 0 < TTC≤1.0s means serious conflict, 1.0s < TTC≤1.9s means general conflict, and TTC≥1.9s is not considered to constitute a conflict.
