The paper focuses on the study for assessment methodology of highway traffic safety devices maintenance, including traffic signs, pavement markings, guardrails, fences and anti-glare board etc. It also discusses the advanced maintenance method and assessment technology, to supervise the performance of devices and ensure the effectiveness. In addition, for each kind of device, the author analyzes the maintenance contents, inspection items and qualification requirements by formulating the evaluation index and formula, establishing the devices proportion coefficient imperfect form and scoring standards for the purpose to score the device and assess its grade. Lastly, device performance is classified into five grades ranging from excellent, good, middle, defect to bad, and scores from 0 to 100.
