With the rapid development of intelligent transportation systems, it is hard for conventional testing methods to meet the testing requirements of the complex cooperative vehicle infrastructure system (CVIS). Based on analyzing various functions of the vehicle infrastructure interactive traffic safety system - the vehicle-vehicle interactive collaborative control system and the traffic coordination control system - under the cooperative vehicle infrastructure environment, it is synthetically considered the implementing scenes and venues of vehicle infrastructure system. Combining with advanced wireless communication, data exchange technology and sensor detection technology, presented an integrated testing scheme on the basis of real testing conditions of CVIS under two scenarios (i.e., a segment and an intersection). Through the on-road experiment, the integration and simplification of the scenes and venues have been achieved and the redundancy of the test system has been reduced. The experiment results indicate that the testing scheme is of general and feasible.
