Effects will be less severe than those of chronic weightlessness, and more severe than those of chronic bed rest at 1-g; effects of two different g levels on physiology of various anatomical subsystems are compared; effects of 1/6 earth g (lunar g) are determined to establish preliminary criteria for maintenance of physiological functions; methods outlined for determining criteria for lunar physical conditioning and maintenance program; this is done by equating energy expenditure and corresponding metabolic requirements at various activity levels for earth and lunar conditions.
