Comparison of cornering performance of cars with these drive arrangements; forces on car, and slip and steering angles of its wheels, are related to its weight, wheelbase, sectional area and drag coefficient, characteristics of its tires, its speed and radius of curve; relationships are given in general form for rear-front- and four-wheel drive; numerical solutions are calculated from data for small car, and comparisons are made of tendencies of three driving wheel systems to give different steering characteristics and maximum speeds.
