When testing air cushion vehicle models in wind tunnels, ground is usually simulated with stiff fixed ground board; this does not correspond to full-scale case where ground surface moves relative to vehicle at forward speed and might not be stiff, i.e., when hovering and cruising over water; effect of improving ground simulation in wind tunnel tests using "stiff" but moving ground board of belt type is dealt with; results of tests in Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, low speed wind tunnel are shown.
