Design features, with special attention to wing root attachments, wing center section discontinuities, and rotor blade twist, root fixity, and flexibility problem areas considered include rotor blade resonance, wing vibration, coupled wing rotor vibration, mechanical instability involving wing rotor coupling, wing flutter, wing divergence and aileron reversal; concept of equivalent rotor mass used in accounting for rotor dynamics.
