Lift coefficient at first shows linear increase for increasing angle of attack, but to lesser degree than expected according to theory of lifting line; thereafter lift coefficient increases more rapidly than linearly, as contrasted with theory of lifting line; induced drag coefficient for given lift coefficient, on other hand, is obviously much smaller than it would be according to this theory. Translated from ZWB Forschungsbericht n 1665 Sept 8 1942.
