MIRRER system to provide direct punched tape recordings of all car numbers in railroad trains that pass its scanning stations; system codes microwave dipole antennas on each car with car identification, and can read code in any weather at train speeds between 5 and 60 mph; punched tape code can be standard Baudot for automatic printout at remote switchyards where train will arrive later; data can go directly into data processing computers for automatic billing of other railroads for handling of their cars.
