Traffic study at Munich, West German main railroad station resulted in introduction of central signalbox that controls wide area and replaces 17 existing boxes and block posts; to correspond with seven double-track sections, where they go outside station area, equipment in box is on automatic-block system; constructionally, box is seven-story building 88 ft 6 in. high above ground level, with additional radio room on top and basement below ground level.
