It is suggested that nuclear ship on general cargo work will require deep water and up-to-date system of cargo handling which in turn brings with it necessity for more land adjacent to berth than is readily available at many existing docks; ship with conventional cargo handling methods is not likely to be operational problem apart from nuclear risk; larger vessels and those with specialized handling methods may present greater operational problem but, apart from nuclear risk, this is not likely to be more so than with conventional ships.
