Investigation of local heat-transfer coefficient in throat region of nozzle operating under conditions of cold wall, low-density, high-speed flow; results are presented for nitrogen gas for reservoir temperatures from 5200 to 6500 R and reservoir pressures from 0.9 to 1.5 atm; results have been compared with several analytic procedures for predicting heat-transfer coefficient in laminar flow; simple flat-plate equation underestimates heat-transfer coefficient; method of C.B.Cohen and E.Reshotko predicts coefficients that are in agreement with experimental results.
