Paper evaluates structural test program, conducted by Lockheed Missiles and Space Co; integrally stiffened cylindrical panels, formed to 198-in. radius, were tested; there was appreciable difference in buckling loads between inside and outside stiffening; analysis by A.Van der Neut shows that higher critical loads are obtained with outside stiffening; however, correlation between theory and panel test was not good; in present analysis, effects of end moments were included; closed-form solution was obtained for prebuckling equilibrium equations, but buckling equations were solved using Galerkin method; inclusion of end moments seems necessary for good correlation.
