Study of influence of Hall effect on magnetogasdynamic flow around nose of blunt body; local similarity is applied to stagnation region of attached shock layer generated in hypersonic flow about blunt body containing magnetic dipole source; electrically conducting and insulated bodies are considered; typical current path lines are shown for conducting and insulated bodies, respectively; conducting body is found to have greater shock standoff, drag, and rolling-moment coefficient than insulated body.
