Damage assessment of possible meteoroid puncture on exposed members of Canada's satellite is based on data on meteoroid flux in space and hypervelocity penetration; total shell puncture to inner payload, puncture of solar cells and of exposed wires which connect banks of 45 cells in series are considered; it is found that electronic payload within satellite structure is relatively safe; during first year of operation, there is only 15% chance that one meteoroid would penetrate inner payload; exposed electrical components, solar cells and cell wiring are susceptible to damage.
