Two concepts are combined to develop method for calculating zero-lift wave drag which is amenable to use of ordinary desk calculators; evaluation of accuracy and computational time demonstrate that present method yields total zero lift wave drag solutions which differ by less than 6% from solutions given by slender body and linearized theory for several simplified configurations.
