Abstract An analytical theory of motion of satellites in Mars gravity field is presented and analyzed. The theory includes first-order periodic perturbations due to zonal and tesseral harmonics, secular perturbations up to the fourth order, second- and third-order periodic perturbations due to zonal harmonics and perturbations due to interactions between the second zonal and tesseral harmonics. The estimated values of perturbations for the orbits of Deimos, Phobos as well as for some orbits of Mars' artificial satellites are calculated taking into account Mars gravity model up to degree and order 18 /1/. The propagation of coefficients' variance for satellite's position is analyzed.
