WE very much appreciate being permitted to publish the report of the U.S. Air Force Transport Command's inquiry into ‘customer reaction’ to the fitting of rear-wardly facing seats in its aircraft, which appears in this issue. It forms a most interesting sequel to the article on the general subject of the design of passenger seats that we published in September.
