A pedal lock comprising an elongate frame (110) wherein is installed a first locking mechanism (202) operating a swivel bar (130) pivoted at distal end of the elongate frame. The swivel bar (130) is pivotable in quarter turn between a horizontal first position, wherein the pedal is locked, and a second vertical unlocked position. A mounting member (140) extends from the elongate frame (110) to anchor onto a fixed part of the vehicle body to immovably affix the pedal lock relative to said vehicle. A first (125) and second lock (126) may be provided to secure the pedal lock in the locked position. A sliding mechanism (220) enables a single step hand actuation to simultaneously lock both (125, 126) locks. For safety protection against accidental locking, one of the locking pins (230) may be adapted to be latched against movement until released by pressing of a button (125a) before the pedal may be actuated to locking position by the sliding mechanism (220). To unlock, each of the two locks needs to be unlocked individually by key before the pedal lock may be released.
