In the region of each shoulder lug groove from the end of the widest belt of a belt portion of the pneumatic tire to the inside in the tire width direction, the groove width of said shoulder lug groove decreases toward the inside in the tire width direction, but a portion where the cross-sectional area of said groove is kept constant by the groove wall angle and/or the groove depth of the shoulder lug groove being changed is provided along the tire width direction in a length of at least 20% of half the tread width of the tire.
