The invention discloses an active stability maintaining system for a tower crane. The active stability maintaining system for the tower crane is mainly composed of a longitudinal tackle, a transverse tackle, a steel cable and a balanced ellipsoid, wherein longitudinal pulleys at two sides of the longitudinal tackle are arranged in pulley grooves of a tower crane boom, transverse pulleys at two sides of the transverse tackle are arranged in pulley grooves at the top part of the longitudinal tackle, and the pulley groove at the top part of the longitudinal tackle is perpendicular to the pulley groove of the tower crane boom mutually; and a microcomputer chip for controlling the actions of the longitudinal tackle and the transverse tackle and an electronic level meter for detecting the inclining angle of the tower crane are arranged on the transverse tackle, the top part of the longitudinal tackle is connected with the steel cable by an universal joint, and the other end of the steel cable is connected with the balanced ellipsoid. According to the active stability maintaining system for the tower crane, an electronic system in the tackle is used for judging the inclination degree of a tower crane body, the tackle is controlled to drive the balanced ellipsoid to move to actively change the gravity center of the tower crane body to realize balance of the tower crane, the stability of the tower crane is effectively improved, shaking caused by hoisting and unloading can be reduced, the anti-wind capacity of the tower crane can be improved, and the accidents such as overturning of the tower crane and the like can be prevented actively.
