The invention provides a rocket-borne sensor damping device applicable to the field of atmospheric exploration or astrophysics research for experiment research through a sounding rocket. The device mainly comprises a base, an air collecting cavity, an air guide hole, air inlet channels and plugging covers, wherein the contour of the base is similar to that of a sensor, and a gaps of not greater than 1 mm is reserved between the base and the sensor; the base is connected with the air collecting cavity through the air guide hole; the symmetric air inlet channels are arranged on two sides of the air collecting cavity; when the flight acceleration of the rocket reaches a set value, the plugging covers at inlets of the air inlet channels are opened, external air is compressed by the air inlet channels, enters the air collecting cavity and reaches the lower part of the base through the air guide hole, a layer of air film is formed in the gap between the base and the sensor, and the aim of damping the sensor is achieved. The device is simple in structure, easy to implement and good in actual effect.
