The invention discloses a novel material for an automobile steering wheel frame, which belongs to the automobile control system field. The material is a magnesium alloy material, which is the alloy by adding aluminium, zinc, manganese and cadmium elements based on magnesium, the elements comprise the following proportion: 40-50% of Mg, 20-25% of Al, 10-12% of Zn, 5-10% of Mn, and 3-5% of Cr. The novel material for the automobile steering wheel frame has the advantages of low density, high elastic modulus, good shock absorbing performance, large bearing for shock loading, and good corrosion resisting performance. The novel material is mainly used for economy cars, and can be widely used.
