The invention discloses a method for reducing cavitation noise of propellers. The method includes setting pressure balance devices. Increase of pressure difference between thrust surfaces and suction surfaces of blades of the propellers along with increase of the rotational speeds of the propellers can be balanced by the pressure balance devices. The pressure balance devices comprise control devices, power devices and output devices. The rotational speeds of the pressure balance devices can be matched with the rotational speeds of the propellers under the control of the control devices; the power devices are used for providing pressure balance device bodies; the output devices are used for the pressure balance device bodies. The method has the advantages that the unevenness of wake fields of sterns of ships can be changed, accordingly, 'idle push' phenomena due to cavitation noise of existing propellers and medium and high-speed rotation of the existing propellers can be improved, the cavitation noise of the propellers can be reduced, the propulsion efficiency of the propellers can be improved, noise environments of the ships can be improved, occupational diseases and sonar detection discovery probability of the ships can be reduced, the speeds of the ships can be increased, and the method has a great market prospect and application in the military aspect.
