The invention discloses a speed limit control method which is applicable to a vehicle with torque type engine; the method comprises the following steps: obtaining a driving speed and a speed limit value, calculating the speed difference value; acquiring a predetermined engine torsion value according to the difference value; detecting accelerator pedal position for computing actual engine torsion value; comparing the predetermined engine torsion value with the actual engine torsion value; controlling torsion value of the torque type engine according to the smaller value of the predetermined engine torsion value and the actual engine torsion value.
