The invention discloses a wheel which comprises a wheel body. An electricity generator is arranged in the wheel body. The wheel body is connected with a wheel cover through a wheel axle. An electric conducting cavity is formed in the wheel cover. The electricity generator comprises a rotor and a stator. The rotor is arranged on the side face of the wheel body. The stator is fixed to the wheel axle and provided with an output electric wire. An electric conducting tube is arranged outside the electric wire and guides the output electric wire of the electric generator to the electric conducting cavity. A universal electric brush is arranged above the electric conducting cavity. The electric generator is connected with a storage battery through a wire. The invention further discloses an electricity generating shopping cart which comprises a cart frame body. Wheels are connected to the portions below the cart frame body. The cart frame body comprises the wheels and is further provided with a storage battery. The wheel enables a traditional shopping cart to have the power utilization function, and a good preparation can be made for further informatization development.
