The invention provides a standby fresh air device for a passenger train, and relates to the field of train ventilation systems. The standby fresh air device for the passenger train is characterized in that positive pressure breather pipes and negative pressure breather pipes are straight pipes; the top of each negative pressure air nozzle is an outer convex flow line cambered surface; the top end of each negative pressure air nozzle is connected with the roof skin; the lower part, penetrating roof equipment cabin, of each negative pressure breather pipe is connected with a carriage ceiling, and the pipe opening of each negative pressure breather pipe is positioned in a carriage; the top end of each positive breather pipe is connected with the roof skin; the lower part of each positive breather pipe is positioned in the corresponding carriage; the lower ends of rainwater funnels are connected with water draining horizontal pipes connected with water draining vertical pipes clung to the inner walls of the carriages; the bottom ends of the water draining vertical pipes are communicated with water draining pipe openings; the water draining vertical pipes penetrate through the bottom plates of the carriages; the water draining pipe openings are positioned outside the carriage bottoms; the rainwater funnels directly face the positions below the negative pressure breather pipes; a certain distance is reserved between the rainwater funnel and the corresponding negative pressure breather pipe. The ventilation effect of the standby fresh air device for the passenger train is better than that in the prior art, the structure is simple and the cost is low.
