The invention, which relates to the traffic control field, discloses a multidimensional synchronous optimized bidirectional green wave control method. Therefore, the utilization rates of lanes at all flow directions can be improved to the greatest extent and real-time traffic demands at different flow directions can be satisfied; and the adaptability is high. According to the technical scheme, the method is characterized in that traffic investigation is carried out on a to-be-controlled road to obtain a traffic investigation result; according to the traffic investigation result, an intersection with the maximum traffic demand is determined to be a key intersection, a direction with the largest traffic flow is determined to a forward green wave direction, and a negative direction of the forward direction is determined to a negative green wave direction; a bidirectional green wave band is obtained; and on the basis of the obtained bidirectional green wave band, five-dimensional synchronous optimization of a period, a green time rate, a phase difference, a phase and a phase sequence can be carried out, thereby obtaining the bidirectional green wave band with the highest bandwidth development capability and the minimum number of single release intersections. The method is mainly applied to traffic green wave control.
