The invention discloses a tire surface reinforcing rubber compound achieving a high temperature heat discoloration function and a preparation method thereof. The tire surface reinforcing rubber compound comprises 100 parts of rubber matrix, 5-20 parts of polyether-ether-ketone resin, 10-20 parts of silicon dioxide, 2-5 parts of sulphur, 4-8 parts of anti-aging agents, 1-3 parts of accelerant and 3-6 parts of heat discoloration powder. The polyether-ether-ketone resin enables a tire to have a higher high temperature resisting performance, higher fire resistance and higher stabbing resistance, and the adhesion performance and the compatibility of the tire surface are better. The heat discoloration powder is added to the rubber compound, the discoloring temperature range is 0-80 DEG C, the normal working temperature range of the tire is 40-80 DEG C, and therefore the requirement for visual display of the temperature change of the tire is met; when the temperature of the tire is higher than 80 DEG C, the temperature can be visually observed through the change of the color, people are reminded to cool the tire, and the detection method is simple and visual and avoids the situation that because the temperature of the tire surface is too high, an accident is caused.
