The invention discloses a method for improving fatigue strength of a coupler knuckle. According to the method for improving the fatigue strength of the coupler knuckle, the radii R of transition circular arcs at the root parts of upper and lower traction bosses of the coupler knuckle are increased to 10-12 mm on the basis of the traditional No. 16 coupler knuckle or No. 17 coupler knuckle so that the fatigue strength of the coupler knuckle is improved. The coupler knuckle disclosed by the invention is a coupler knuckle, which is obtained by increasing the radii R of transition circular arcs at the root parts of upper and lower traction bosses of the traditional No. 16 coupler knuckle or No. 17 coupler knuckle to 10-12 mm. According to the method for improving the fatigue strength of the coupler knuckle, disclosed by the invention, the fatigue strengths at the root part and the neighbor part of the lower traction boss of the coupler knuckle can be obviously improved; and the matching property of the fatigue strengths at the root parts and the neighbor parts of the upper and lower traction bosses of the coupler knuckle in actual operation can be obviously improved; therefore, the fatigue lives of the traction boss parts of the coupler knuckle are effectively prolonged.
