The invention discloses a locomotive main break function simulation test method. The test method includes the steps: firstly, a storage battery breaker is closed, and a main breaker is closed; secondly, when a locomotive utilization change-over switch stays in a normal position, two test change-over switches stay in a normal position, and a network voltage normal relay stays in a moving state; and thirdly, a workshop change-over switch stays in a normal position, and a workshop relay keeps in a closed state; a current collector rise determining analog switch stays in a normal position, a first pantograph relay or a second pantograph relay functions, and a current collector pressure feedback signal relay functions; an electric control emergency button stays in a normal position; a primary-side over-current normal analog switch stays in a normal position, and a primary-side over-current relay stays in a closed state; a main transformer pressure relief valve normal analog switch stays in a normal position, and a main transformer pressure relief valve normal relay stays in a normally closed state. According to the embodiment of the invention, safety accidents caused by incomplete functions of a locomotive since a designer does not consider well are prevented.
