The invention discloses a loading and unloading method capable of preventing an automatic container terminal automatic guided vehicle (AGV) and a quay crane from waiting for each other. The loading and unloading method specifically comprises the steps that two 40-inch containers are moved to any two 40-inch container accommodating positions on a container accommodating box suspension set from a container ship, and then the containers located on the accommodating positions of the container accommodating box suspension set are moved to a container yard through the lifting type AGV. The loading method is the reverse process of the unloading method. The invention further discloses a loading and unloading system capable of preventing the automatic container terminal AGV and the quay crane from waiting for each other. The container accommodating box suspension set is arranged on a stand column of a landside door frame of the conventional double 40-inch quay crane and combined with the lifting type AGV arranged below the accommodating positions, and in this way, both the AGV and the quay crane work independently, do not need to wait for each other and can work anytime the AGV and the quay crane are in place. The coupling problem of a traditional AGV and quay crane assembly during container loading and unloading is solved, the area of a precious quayside is saved, development prospects are broad, and market application space is large.
