The invention discloses an electric bicycle capable of safe self-rescue, and belongs to the field of communication media. The electric bicycle comprises a frame and a handle installed on the frame, and the handle is provided with a bicycle lamp. The bicycle lamp is provided with a SOS device. The SOS device is connected with an electric bicycle controller. The frame is provided with a GPS system positioning and communication system. The GPS system positioning and communication system comprises a GPS signal receiver, a GPS controller, and a communication unit. The GPS signal receiver and the GPS controller are connected with the electric bicycle controller. The SOS device, the communication unit, and the GPS signal receiver are connected with the GPS controller. Under conditions of traffic accidents or getting lost, a rider can rapidly give out a distress signal by pressing the SOS device, providing convenience for people nearby to find out in time and carry out rescue. The electric bicycle controller sends the current position information of the electric bicycle and the distress signal, received by the GPS signal receiver, to an assigned communication terminal through the communication unit in a remote manner, so as to provide convenience for remote related personnel to carry out rescue.
