Provided is a compressor configuration structure which can avoid dirt, line piping and wiring damage in an engine chamber. An air conditioning compressor (8) is assembled to an engine main body (7) with a holder (9) therebetween, and is located under an induction manifold (2); a vehicle component, a pipe (P1,P2), and a wire (S1) are located in an engine chamber (4) nearby an upper portion of an instrument board (5) behind a compressor (8), wherein the instrument board (5) projects into the engine chamber (4); observed from the side of a vehicle, the connecting line between the base (14) of an oil disc (13) and the convex part (6) of the instrument board (5) is used as a fiducial line (L) which is in contact with the peripheral shape of the compressor (8), or traverses the peripheral shape of the compressor (8).
